“One, Two, Three, Cheese!” Game
In this game there is no set number of participants.
There is a starting line where all the children stand except for the one designated as the counter.
The child who is counting goes a distance in front of the other children, hides their eyes and turns their back. While that child counts from one to three, the children at the line begin walking – not running – toward his/her back. Once the “counter” gets to three, he shouts “Cheese!” and turns around to see the other children. When he turns the other children must freeze and not move!
The ones who the counter sees move have to go back to the starting line. The ones who remain frozen get to stay where they are. The counter then turns around and begins counting to three again, while the other children advance towards his back.
This process continues until somebody tags the child who is counting and shouts “cheese!” This child is now the counter and the other children line up at the starting place and the game begins again.
